Website privacy and cookies

This notice covers the TKD Wiki World website and its installable web version. It explains how your data is processed when you browse content, use an account or participate in the community. The native features of the mobile application are covered by a separate notice.
Who is responsible?

Your account and the features you request
Sign-in uses Firebase Authentication (Google): email address, account identifier and, depending on the sign-in method, information provided by Google or Apple. Your profile may contain a username, a photo, a rank, a year of birth, a club and any other information you enter. Favorites, progress, posts, media and messages enable us to provide the features you use. Their legal basis is the performance of the service you request. Optional fields are not required to view public content.
Posts, clubs and support
Published content and profile information made public are visible to other users according to the features and settings of the service. Do not publish sensitive data or data about other people without permission. Messages are intended for their participants; authorized persons may intervene for support or moderation. Reports and support exchanges are processed to respond to your request and protect the service, on the basis of our legitimate interest in ensuring its security and moderation.
Necessary cookies and preferences
The browser stores items needed for sign-in, your language choices, your local favorites and offline operation. These items are not used for advertising. Your consent preference is stored in the browser for 180 days. You can clear the website data in your browser; this may sign you out of your account and delete data stored only on that device.
Optional audience measurement
Google Analytics loads only after you give your consent. Refusing does not block access to the website. The website measures page categories and interactions to improve the service; it does not intentionally transmit search terms you enter, URL parameters, your profile name or rank in its measurement events. Google also receives the technical information needed for requests, including your IP address and browser characteristics. These measurements are therefore not presented as anonymous. Advertising and personalization signals are disabled in the website configuration. Analytics cookies are configured for 180 days, without automatic extension on each visit. The counter for clicks to app stores follows the same consent choice. The Cookies button lets you withdraw this consent; analytics stops and the page reloads. Withdrawal does not retroactively delete measurements already sent.
Videos and other external resources
An embedded YouTube or Vimeo video loads only after explicit permission is given in the area where it appears. This choice is separate from audience measurement. The provider then receives your IP address and the information needed for playback; it may use trackers according to its own policy, including for measurement and advertising. You can close the player to stop it from loading. Cookies set on the provider’s domain are managed through that provider or in the browser. Maps (Esri), fonts and technical libraries may also require requests to their providers. An external request transmits technical data even without a cookie. Automatic translation of displayed text no longer sends text from the browser to a translation service: the website uses its prepared translations and local dictionaries.
Providers and transfers
Fly.io hosts the website and the services server. Google Firebase provides authentication, account data and media storage. Google Analytics is used only with your consent; Google/YouTube or Vimeo are involved when you activate their videos. Google and Apple are involved if you choose their sign-in option. Providers of technical resources and maps receive the requests needed to display them. Some providers operate outside the European Economic Area, notably in the United States. For how long?
Your cookie choice is stored for 180 days. Local language, favorites and offline cache data remain on your device until they are deleted or replaced by the website or browser. Account data is used while you use the account; you can request its deletion. Shared content, support exchanges and reports are reviewed according to their usefulness to the service, the resolution of the request and any legal obligations or disputes. Some backup copies may remain after active data has been deleted. The period applicable to a data category, backups or data already received by a provider can be requested from the contact above. The website does not promise immediate deletion of all copies.
Your rights and choices
Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you can request access to, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Write to contact.tkdwiki@gmail.com stating your request and your account email address if you have an account. Do not send an identity document unsolicited; proportionate proof will only be requested if there is reasonable doubt about your identity. A response must be provided within one month; a justified extension may be notified within that period. Automatic account deletion is currently unavailable: use this contact to request erasure and follow-up on your request. You can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) or the competent authority in your country.
Minors and changes to this notice
If you are a minor, ask your legal representative to assist you with features involving your personal data. Do not share private contact details in posts. Contact us for any request concerning a child’s account. This notice is dated; a change to optional purposes requiring renewed consent will be presented before they are activated.
