Description
Poomsae Jitae is an advanced form practiced by 6th dan holders in taekwondo. The term "Jitae" literally means "the earth", and this poomsae symbolizes the deep connection between man and the earth, representing the struggle for survival. In this form, the movements reflect the human ability to hold firmly to the ground while rising toward the sky. It is a metaphor for the aspects of human life: walking, jumping, and fighting, while facing the challenges of existence. The line of the poomsae takes the form of a "ㅗ", representing stability on earth and ascending to heaven, which conveys harmony between body and mind. Jitae techniques, such as assisted knife hand blocks (Sonnal Geodoreo Naeryeo Makgi), require a balance of strength and fluidity, symbolizing mastery of body and mind
