Han Sonnal Arae Makgi
한손날 아래 막기Han Sonnal Arae Makgi (한손날 아래 막기) is a block in taekwondo: single knife-hand low block. Han Sonnal Arae Makgi is a Downward Block performed with a single Knife Hand: han means "one". The open hand moves down from the chest to groin height and stops an attack aimed at the stomach or the groin. It blocks with the Knife Hand (sonnal), that is, the outside edge of the open hand. This block appears in the poomsae Koryeo, Pyeongwon and Jitae.
